Rainbow Day 4
Hi Children,
Thank you to a few of you for being so sporty for Rainbow Day 4 cum Children’s Day. I do apologise for the last minute notice. Many thanks to the parents for their consent.
We had a lot of fun during rehearsal today.
But we also need to be serious. We need to practise so that we can put up a good performance for the whole school.
So, here are the lyrics to the song, “Let’s twist again”.
Do practise at home as a form of leisure and exercise.

Let’s twist again by Chubby Checker
Come on everybody clap your hands
Now you're looking good
I'm gonna sing my song and you won't take long
We gotta do the twist and it goes like this
Come on let's twist again like we did last summer
Yea, let's twist again like we did last year
Do you remember when things were really hummin'
Yea, let's twist again, twistin' time is here
Yeah round 'n around 'n up 'n down we go again
Oh baby make me know you love me so then
Come on let's twist again like we did last summer
Yea, let's twist again, twistin' time is here
Come on let's twist again like we did last summer
Yea, let's twist again like we did last year
Do you remember when things were really hummin'
Yea, let's twist again, twistin' time is here
Yeah round 'n around 'n up 'n down we go again
Oh baby make me know you love me so then
Come on let's twist again like we did last summer
Yea, let's twist again, twistin' time is here
Phonics (/sw/ and -er)
Today, some of us learnt new words beginning with the /sw/ sound and ending with the –er sound.
For some, their brains were hard at work; trying to recall words that they have read or seen from books, magazines, etc.
There was a good contribution of words from the majority of the class.
Boys and girls, here is an online game to test your skills: http://www.quia.com/cb/8754.html
Here are the steps:
1. Click on the button, “Begin 1-player game” (or you may choose to play with a second player).
2. Look out for the “Starts with /sw/” text.
3. Click on the “200” and you are all set for the quiz.
You may also choose to try your hands at other words beginning with “sp”, “sm” or “sl”.
Have fun!
p.s: Did you enjoy the online game? Do post your comments here.
