Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays, Children!

Now that you have more time on your hands, you can read more story books and play too.

At the same time, do remember the 5 book reviews that you should do.

For each book that you read, there may be words that you have not encountered before and may not know the meaning. Well, write the words and their meaning down in your spelling book. Try to have 20 new words for each new book and bring your spelling back to school next year.

Understanding the words will help you understand the story better.

And you can use the words learnt in your future compositions too.

Here's a summary of what you have to do:

  1. Read and enjoy 5 English story books.
  2. Do a book review for each of the 5 books.
  3. Learn 20 new words from each book.
  4. Write these new words (a total of 100 words) and their meaning in your spelling books.
  5. Bring back the spelling books to school next year.

Once again, happy holidays!

Did you enjoy the stories shared in class last week?

Well, listen to them again and listen to more online. They are read by famous people (e.g. actors).

Here's the website: http://www.storylineonline.net/index2.html
